The Sundowner Bush Rogaine - 3, 9 and 15 hour rogaines - QLD, AUS

The Sundowner Bush Rogaine is the last opportunity for Rogainers of all experience to compete on the same area and use the same mapping that will be used for the Australian Rogaining Championships as this is a warm up to June. The Sundowner Hash House (Race HQ) is less than an 45 minutes from the Cairns CBD and 15 minutes from Mareeba. Open scherophyl forest provides ideal bushwalking country and the area chosen provides topography kind to new Rogainers. 
The Sundowner event will host 3, 9 and 15 hour hike events. The 15 hour and 9 hour Roving event commence at 2100 Saturday March and the 3 hour event starts Sunday at 0930. A Roving Rogaine is one where teams may be on course for 9 hours in total of the 15 allotted. They can return to the HH as often as desired. It is a great way to introduce yourself to longer Rogaines without the need to continue to compete. 
This format provides the opportunity for 9/15 hour teams to compete at night - great training for this years Australian Rogaining Championships. The 3 hour event concludes at 1230 Sunday. The qualities and characteristics the 3/9/15 Hour events should prove to be an exciting, challenging and incredibly fun event.
